Following a spin-off from a conglomerate in conjunction with a leveraged buy out by a private equity firm and management, a company was operating in an environment of rapid-change that was straining internal resources.

The president, CFO and private equity firm sought a financial consulting resource with the following skills and services:
• Private equity buyouts andpurchase accounting
• International accounting and foreign currency
• Operational accounting/financial reporting
• Manufacturing and general management

SOLUTION:
On-the-Ground Financial Transition Oversight

CMF’s plan included completing the following projects and deliverables in 120 days:
• Establishing the opening balance sheet position and regular reporting format
• Working with the Company’s “Big Four” auditors to facilitate the completion of the audit
• Transitioning knowledge and information to European and American finance teams

OUTCOME:
Short-Term Compliance, Long-Term Improvements

Within 120 days, the CMF team achieved the following:
• Established opening balance sheet and rolled forward to year end
• Issued report to Big Four auditors
• Completed monthly income statement, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts for the subsequent year
• Recruited a senior finance staff member to join the company
